Template #1 The Paper Rose

Here is my first ever paper flower tutorial Template #1 The Paper Rose!

These roses make a great craft project for those who love to experiment with getting creative. The roses can be used for wall decorations such as in the bedroom/nursery for children, event and party decorations, a unique handmade gift or just some nice time to spend experimenting with your creative abilities.

This listing is to purchase the PDF template pack which includes:

  • Petal size guide to create roses from 4 inches diameter up to 18 inches in diameter
  • Downloadable petal and base shape templates which can be used over and over again.

The link to access the tutorial is shown below:

You will need to watch this tutorial in order to make sense of the template pack that you download after purchase. Please check your emails including junk/spam inboxes once the purchase has been completed for the PDF file. This will need to be saved to your computer and printed onto A4 sized paper. You can also access the link as the purchase confirmation pops up.

The Youtube tutorial will show you exactly what to do with the petal pack that you have downloaded and how to make one of the smaller sized roses although the same principle applies to making larger roses too. You just need to adjust the petal sizes and check which petal sizes and bases are needed in the size chart on the first page.

What else will you need to complete this tutorial?

-Cardstock/paper no thicker than 160gsm. In the tutorial a pink 160gsm cardstock is used. The number of sheets required will depend on the size of the rose that you complete. For the smaller rose in the tutorial you will need 4 sheets maximum of A4 however you will also need another 10-12 A4 sheets in order to create your template pack beforehand.

  • Glue gun and glue sticks – if children are making these with you please be aware that hot glue BURNS the skin. This part should be completed by an adult or under good supervision.
  • A pencil or marker
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • The video tutorial linked above which will also be visible in the email once you have purchased the templates.
